Manufactured in early 1945, from the third production block (serial number range 6,449,884 to 6,629,883) by Winchester between December 1944 to June 1945. Original, parts correct with "W" marked and "WP" proofed Winchester barrel, "C" marked type III barrel band, unmarked front sight, "shield/H" type III adjustable peep rear sight, "W" type VI operating rod, "W" blued round-top bolt, and "W" milled trigger housing with ""EW"" type III push button safety, later "W" type IV magazine catch, and "W" Type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut low-wood stock marked "W" in the sling channel along with an "ordnance wheel" cartouche stamp on the right of the butt, a "W" marked four-rivet handguard, and a blued "SW" magazine.
