Description:

Manufactured in early 1945, from the third production block (serial number range 6,449,884 to 6,629,883) by Winchester between December 1944 to June 1945. Original, parts correct with "W" marked and "WP" proofed Winchester barrel, "C" marked type III barrel band, unmarked front sight, "shield/H" type III adjustable peep rear sight, "W" type VI operating rod, "W" blued round-top bolt, and "W" milled trigger housing with ""EW"" type III push button safety, later "W" type IV magazine catch, and "W" Type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut low-wood stock marked "W" in the sling channel along with an "ordnance wheel" cartouche stamp on the right of the butt, a "W" marked four-rivet handguard, and a blued "SW" magazine. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining original finish with minor edge wear, dried grease, scattered minor patches of brown patina showing, some minor spotting/freckling, and minor handling marks. The stock is exceptionally fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
