Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some minor oxidation/frosting near the muzzle.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1942-1943. "Ordnance bomb" proof above the cylinder latch, with "G.H.D." (Lt. Col Guy H. Drewry) inspector stamp above. Matching serial numbers on the frame and crane. Includes a cardboard box numbered to another pistol on the underside, a Colt Commando revolver manual, a bore brush, and a matching numbered letter from Arms Research of Alabama, dated July 24, 2011, stating that the revolver was one of 140 surplused by the Marion Military Institute Museum in March 2011, with the revolvers purported to have been left in storage by the Alabama National Guard since 1943.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining nearly all of the original parkerized finish with some minor cycling wear on the ejector rod, a faint cylinder drag line, some faint traces of brown patina visible on the cylinder latch and front grips strap, and some minor handling marks. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
