Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling and some minor streaking.
Description:

Receiver manufactured in March 1945, "1 S-A-3 45" marked barrel with bright chamber ring, correct World War II era Springfield Armory wide base gas cylinder with chamfered lock, solid lower band retaining pin, type 3 lock-bar rear sight assembly, "-19SA/A-9" bolt, un-cut flat-side "9 SA" operating rod, "12" follower, and "-14-SA" trigger housing with "-8 SA" hammer, and "SA-11" safety. Fitted with a correct boxed "S.A./N.F.R." (U.S. Springfield Armory, Brig. Gen. Norman F. Ramsey) inspection cartouche walnut stock set with a "R.I.A." (U.S. Rock Island Arsenal) rebuild stamp on the left side. Includes a matching Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) certificate of authenticity dated September 27, 1999, a flat-buckle M1 pattern web sling, along with a M10 cleaning tool and segmented cleaning rod in the butt trap.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining original parkerized finish with a correctly staked lock-bar rear sight, some minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, silvering on the buttplate, some dried grease, limited minor patches of spotting on the rear sight, and some light handling marks. The stock is also very fine as arsenal sanded and re-oiled with some minor dents and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
