Designed by Ferdinand Ritter Von Mannlicher of Austria, the Mannlicher Carbine is lightweight and compact, and uses a short recoil action with a concealed internal hammer, a reciprocating cocking lever that doubles as a hammer position indicator. Blade front and 2-position flip rear sights, with an integral clip guide, straw finished small parts, and "crown/crown/U" commercial proofed. The smooth forearm encloses nearly the entirety of the barrel, with a matching numbered cap/sight base at the front, pistol grip buttstock with flat steel buttplate, and sling swivels mounted on both the forearm and buttstock.
