A) U.S. Remington Arms Model 1917 Rifle

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and some oxidation in the grooves.
Description:

Manufactured in 1918. "R/flaming bomb/1-18" marked barrel, along with "R" marked bolt, front sight, and rear sight. Fitted with an "R" and "3R/P" marked walnut stock with "eagle head 336" proof stamp ahead of the magazine well. Includes a Kerr "No-Buckl" web sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine as refinished, with softened barrel markings, some light edge wear, light cycling wear, thinning revealing both grey and brown patinas, some minor spotting, and minor handling marks. The stock is also fine as re-oiled with a few scattered minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, "RA/flaming bomb/3-43" faintly marked barrel, "R" marked bolt, bolt sleeve, safety, upper band, and stacking swivel. Fitted with a 'S' profile stock with faint boxed "FJA" (Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspector stamp along with an "A O B" rebuild stamp on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with scattered light patches of spotting and smooth brown patina showing, light cycling wear, an absent upper band screw, and some mild handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and re-oiled with scattered handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
