Manufactured c. 1892-1930s. "B.S.A.Co" marked receiver socket, Holland & Holland retailer address on the barrel rib, along with "FOR CORDITE ONLY" and "NITRO PROVED" marked chamber, and Metford pattern five-groove rifling. Retailer added serial number "24283" on the bottom of the trigger guard, "1917" numbered bolt. Features two folding leaf and adjustable ladder rear sights, a reduced capacity magazine, and floral pattern bordering and engraving across the receiver, dust cover, and magazine. Fitted with a horn tipped multi-point checkered walnut forend and stock with hard rubber grip cap, engraved steel buttplate, and blank stock escutcheon.

Very good, retaining some traces of original finish with scattered mild grey and brown patina patches on the balance along with scattered light spotting/freckling, some minor pitting, minor handling marks, and defined engravings. The stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled with epoxy repaired cracks in the forend. Mechanically excellent.
