Description:

This is a outstanding example of a custom made iconic Winchester cartridge board. It is the first to use what will later become the "classic" design by using green lithograph paper with the bullet information in gold print and the Winchester shells mounted directly to the board. The cartridge board itself measures 43 1/4 inches by 31 1/2 inches including the frame. The cartridges are in an inverted "V" with cartridges in an arch on each side, a circle of cartridges in the middle and shotgun shells and 6 cap tins on the lower portion. These boards are seldom seen and rarely offered for sale.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with light signs of display wear. Some cartridges absent from board and minimal lifting around the edges of the prints. The cartridges, bullets and shells are generally bright with some showing a light patina.
