Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling and minor streaking.
Description:

Manufactured in 1954. Original, parts correct with "LMR" marked and "1 54" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, "IHC/AS" bolt, "IHC" operating rod, and "IHC" trigger housing with "IHC" hammer and safety. Fitted with a boxed "DoD eagle" inspection stamped walnut stock set with “OR 2472” Julian date inside the barrel channel. Includes a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) research letter, dated December 7, 2005, identifying the rifle by serial number as sold through the CMP as a "Service Grade IHC" in March 2004, and a matching M1 Garand data sheet confirming the rifle's current configuration with the added details of a throat erosion reading of "2.5" and a muzzle wear reading of "2.0".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining most of the original parkerized finish with light edge wear, minor cycling wear, some limited brown patina showing, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine with scattered minor dents and scrapes, along with clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
