Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1944, from the second production block (serial number range 5,549,922 to 5,834,618) manufactured by Winchester from December 1943 to November 1944, with Inland's serial production running into this range as well. "W" marked and "WP" proofed Winchester barrel, "EM-Q" marked bayonet lug, "MMQ" type III barrel band, "PI" type V operating rod, "IO" parkerized round top bolt, and an Inland milled trigger housing with "J.A.O" type IV flip safety and "I-I" type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut low-wood stock marked "IO" in the sling channel, a "R.R.A." (Red River Arsenal) rebuild mark on the left of the butt along with an "ordnance wheel" cartouche stamp on the right, an "IO" marked four-rivet handguard, and a blued "SW" magazine. Includes a canvas sling and metal oiler. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with some minor spotting/brown patina showing, some minor edge wear, and minor handling marks. The replacement stock is also very fine as re-oiled with a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
