A) U.S. Eddystone Model 1917 Rifle

Bore Condition: The viewable section of the bore is partially darkened with defined rifling, and a plugged chamber.
Description:

Manufactured in 1918. "E/(flaming bomb)/5-18" marked barrel, "USMC" marked replacement bolt, left stock wrist stamped with boxed "RIA/FK" (Rock Island Arsenal/Frank Krack), "AAR" and boxed "AAHO" rebuild cartouches. Includes a green canvas web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished and subsequently deactivated, with some light handling marks. Absent follower assembly. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with a few light dents and scratches. Deactivated with a welded/plugged chamber and welded bolt face, otherwise the bolt cycles.

Manufactured in 1942. "RA/(flaming bomb)/8-42" marked barrel. Includes an M1907 brown leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with edge wear, freckling and smooth brown patina on the balance. Absent follower assembly. Stock is good as sanded and re-oiled, with numerous scattered dents and scratches. The front barrel band retaining screw does not thread due to being off center. Absent firing pin assembly, otherwise the bolt cycles.
