Very good, with some of the original finish, smooth gray patina on the balance and scattered light freckling. Stock is also very good with scattered dents, scratches, and light wear. Mechanically excellent.

Receiver manufactured in early 1944, from the fourth production block (serial number range 4,632,100 to 4,879,525) manufactured by Quality Hardware & Manufacturing Co. from March to May 1944. "1-44" dated Inland barrel, "AI" marked type III barrel band, "N" front sight, "I.R.CO." rear sight, "W" marked flat top bolt, "W" recoil plate, flip safety, "CC" magazine catch, Rock-Ola trigger housing, "AM B" hammer, "PI" operating rod, "P-U" two-rivet handguard, low wood stock with "IO" marked sling inlet and "5309336" stamped on the left of the buttstock, and a green painted "IU" magazine. Includes a tan canvas web sling, "1942" dated Atlas Awning U.S. tan canvas double magazine pouch and two extra green painted magazines ("U" and "SP" marked). Import marked left of barrel. Very good as painted, with some light handling marks. Stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled, with some light handling marks and a chip at the edge of the oiler cutout. Mechanically excellent.
