A) U.S. Remington Arms Model 03-A3 Rifle

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, "RA/flaming bomb/4-43" marked barrel, "R" marked bolt assembly, upper band, front sight cover, and rear sling swivel. Fitted with a 'S' profile stock with "RA" (Remington Arms), "ordnance wheel", and "FJA" (Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspector stamp on the left of the wrist and a "OG" (U.S. Ogden Arsenal) rebuild stamp on the left of the butt. Includes a web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining most of the finish with some limited minor spotting and handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1923, "S A/flaming bomb/2-23" marked barrel, "W L/3" curved-handle bolt. Fitted with a walnut 'high-hump' handguard and 'S' pattern grasping groove stock, marked with a boxed "J.F.C." (J. F. Coyle) inspector stamp on the left of the wrist and rack number "134" at the toe. Includes a nickel oiler in the butt trap and a "B.T&B.CO./8" marked brass hooked M1907 leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with scattered minor edge wear, softened receiver markings, some minor pitting under the finish, thinning revealing some grey patina, some minor freckling, and minor handling marks. The stock is very fine as re-oiled with numerous scattered minor compression marks and clear stamps. Mechanically excellent.
