Description:

Receiver manufactured as part of the second production block from Winchester between December 1943 to November 1944 in the 5549922-5834618 serial number range. All parts are World War II correct on this example including the undated Winchester "W" barrel, unmarked front sight, "H" in a shield marked adjustable rear sight, "W" trigger housing, "W" hammer, unmarked push button safety, "W" magazine catch, "W" blued round bolt, "W" operating rod, unmarked type II barrel band, "W" recoil lug, "W" four-rivet handguard, low wood stock with "W" in the sling inlet and crossed cannons cartouche on the right. Magazine absent.

Rating Definition:

Fine with much of the original finish, cycling wear on the bolt, and scattered brown surface freckling. Stock is very fine with defined edges, a few light handling marks, and a crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
