Bore Condition: The bore is mostly darkened with visible rifling and oxidation/pitting.
Description:

Manufactured in 1917. "Triangle/VP" and "X" marked on the left of the trigger guard, unmarked blued barrel with polished chamber hood. Fitted with a pair of 'double-diamond' checkered walnut grips and World War II era parkerized magazine marked "S" on the toe. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good, with some of the original finish retained with scattered light edge wear, a hole drilled through the bottom of the slide, scattered minor patches of spotting/freckling, some visible grey and brown patina, and mild handling wear. The grips are good with moderate compression wear and handling marks in the otherwise defined checkering. Slide does not properly remain locked in the rearward position, otherwise mechanically functions.
