Description:

38" OAL, 32" blade, horn grip and leather covered iron scabbard. The blade is etched "LATHAM/R. REED./FROM THE/NON-COMMISSIONED/OFFICERS of TROOP C,/29th MAY, 1915.". Reed was a veteran of action with the Punitive Expedition against Pancho Villa, as well as serving as an officer with the 165th (aka the 69th) Infantry Regiment during World War I. Later in life he would write "Frankie in Wonderland" under the pseudonym 'A Tory', a satire of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies. Fair overall.
