Lot 42: Colt Factory Collection MK IV Series 70 Government Model Pistol

Manufactured from 1970 to 1983. The factory letter states that this gun was "a sample and display pistol kept by the Colt factory". Features fixed front and square notch rear sights on a matte finished slide with high polish blue sides. It has a serrated matte top and side polished stainless steel spur hammer, grooved trigger, 7-shot magazine, grip and thumb safeties, and checkered walnut grips with gold plated Rampant Colt medallion inlays on both sides. The right side of the slide is marked, "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL", with the one-line address and serial number stamped below on the frame, and the left side of slide being marked, "COLT MK IV/SERIES '70/GOVERNMENT MODEL/.45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER" followed by the Rampant Colt. Excellent, with some very slight scratches/handling marks to the finish (mainly confined to the matte finish). The grips are in near new condition, with only the slightest scuff on the right upper front corner.
