A) Metzger Percussion Shotgun

Marked "M. Metzger/Stockholm" on the lock, "OLOF MALMER/1740/o.Malmerfeldt/1772/OLLE/18(illegible)". Consignor info notes Johan Michael Metzger (b.1697-d.1776) as a member of a noted Stockholm gunsmithing dynasty, and a pair of men named Olof Malmer, a father (1693-1771, ennobled 1743) and son (1733-1806).

B) Reichardt Percussion Double Barrel Shotgun

Marked "REICHARDT" on the right lock, "STOCKHOLM" on the left. Consignor-supplied info attributes Reichardt as Johan Reichard, born 1753 in Saxony, journeyman in Stockholm, achieved the rank of master gunsmith in 1767, and died in 1807, and suggests the item is a converted flintlock.
