Each folio is bound with gray cord and covered in pale leather, impressed with a decorative border pattern and a heraldic shield with the banner "PLENO SYDERE PLENAE". Each contains reproductions of historical documents. 1) Folio, titled "RELIQUES EMOUVANTES OU CURIEUSES DE L'HISTOIRE", including correspondence between Louis XIII and the Cardinal de Richelieu, and from Marie Antoinette. 2) Two Folios, both titled "Some Stirring Relics of English History", including the birth announcement of Charles II, the confession of Guy Fawkes, and Napoleon's letter of surrender. All of the documents are worn and faded to match the archival records they duplicate, and the folios have been aged to match. Also included is a socket bayonet marked "TA/SB/TG".
