Imported by Pacific International Import of Sacramento, this arm bears the hand engraved legend "*** BUILT for "SLIMBO" By Von Dutch, 1974 ***** 357 MAG." on the left barrel, which has been sleeved to 357 Magnum and fitted with a ramp blade front sight and Williams adjustable rear, in addition to the single bead on the rail. Shotgun barrel choke measures improved cylinder, with a 3 inch chamber and extractor, and the frame and lock plates are scroll engraved. Checkered pistol grip stock, with a beavertail forearm, vented recoil pad and 14 inch length of pull. Von Dutch, born Kenny Howard, was a pioneer in automotive pinstriping and decoration, in addition to being an expert knifemaker and gunsmith. As a gunsmith, Von Dutch was the creator of the "Mare's Leg" Winchester lever pistol, originally produced for use by Steve McQueen in the programs "Trackdown" and "Wanted: Dead or Alive". "Slimbo", aka Jean Kier, was a student of Von Dutch.
