Manufactured for the U.S. Historical Society for the American bicentennial in 1976 based on an original pair of mid-18th century Hawkins flintlock officer's pistols owned by George Washington and in the collection of the West Point Museum. Small rectangular plaque on outer case lid is marked "BRUCE W. PENNINGTON". With hardwood display case, two additional flints, case key, and papers including two certificates of authenticity and firing instructions.
