LOP:14 1/4". Consignor states the rifle was engraved by Ben A. Shelor of the Richmond, Virginia area. He was best known for his custom knives but began engraving firearms in the 1990s using open scroll and Nimschke styles, until ultimately developing his own style. He often incorporated birds, reptiles, animals, and fantasy (influenced by the works of Frank Frazetta) into his designs. In magazine and newspaper articles he was noted as "an artist and craftsman who put his heart and mind into his creations".
