Description:

1) Gilt knob handle with floral engraving inscribed "Presented/to/J.W. Brown/by a few Friends/of the/W.C.T. Assn." The ebonized shaft appears to have been broken/shortened and is not tipped. Measures 29 1/2" overall. 2) Gilt knob handle relief engraved with flower motifs, inscribed with "HH" monogram on top, and "WD/C" maker's mark of the William Demuth Company of New York. The slender ebonized shaft is untipped. Measures 34" overall. 3) Gilt knob handle relief engraved with floral motifs and inscribed "1864-1893/Presented to/H.S. Shedd./in esteem from his/associates in Gen'l Del'y./N.Y.P.O." Ebonized shaft tipped with German silver/iron. All are good or better retaining much of the gilt finish on the grips and some minor dents/dings. The shafts show mostly mild wear apart from a filled hole in "3" and "1" being shortened as stated above.
