Scarce Early Production Winchester Model 1912 Slide Action Shotgun

This model was designed by T.C. Johnson and was the first of the slide action hammerless shotguns built by Winchester, enjoying great success with over 1,900,000 sold. This high quality, well made shotgun is still in use in the hunting and shooting fields across the country. All Model 12's are of the takedown variation. Manufactured in 1913, it features a single brass bead sight on a plain nickel steel barrel and is choked full. Grooved forearm and plain pistol grip stock with a black plastic checkered buttplate marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO." in a circle. The 25 inch barrel was only made from 1912 to 1914.

ConditionExcellent with approximately 95% bright original blue finish remaining with scattered scuffs and scratches with small portions of the magazine tube and bottom of the receiver turning gray. The wood is excellent with scattered dings and scratches.
