U.S. Property Marked Savage No.4 MK 1* Bolt Action Rifle

Made in the US for use by the UK during the Second World War. Upper left side of receiver stamped "US PROPERTY", "No 4 MkI*" on the left, "35C5083/ S/ 1942/ (flaming bomb)" on the left side of the buttsocket. Smooth straight grip stock with blonde stripes in the forend, deep serrations in the upper handguard, and a gray steel buttplate with trapdoor.

ConditionArsenal rebuilt, with 95% of the original finish remaining. There is some smooth wear on the bolt and muzzle, along with some light handling marks and edge wear. The stock is arsenal refurbished, with the butt not matching the forearm, and a number of minor scuffs and scratches. The action is excellent.
