Prior to 1957, this model was known as the 45 Target Model of 1955. It features a Patridge front sight and adjustable rear target sight. The right side of the barrel is marked " .45 CAL MODEL 1955", standard markings on the right side of the frame, casehardened target trigger and hammer with checkered Magna style grips with S&W medallions. In hardwood case with spaces for a screwdriver and cleaning rod (not included), and 9 full moon clips.

Excellent, with 98% of the original finish. There are some light scratches, and a few other minor handling marks. The grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. The action is smooth and crisp. Case is excellent, with some light scratches on the outside, and some minor staining on the inside.
