The M151A2 was the last of the Jeeps to see U.S. military service and were replaced by the HMMWV. This M151A2 is interesting in that it has been modified with a 4 cylinder diesel engine, reinforced body and straight axles. Perhaps the restorer intended this Jeep to be a recreation of an AM General experimental M151A-LC or the restorer just used available parts.
