A predecessor of the Roth-Steyr pistol, the Roth-Sauer is built around a long recoil action, similar clip-loaded internal magazine in the grip, and utilizing the proprietary 7.65 mm Roth ammunition. Fixed blade and notch sights, the Sauer address on the top rib, "PATENT/ROTH." on the frame above the chamber and the Sauer logo at the rear. Fitted with a knurled cocking knob, smooth trigger, and checkered grips with raised Sauer logos.

Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered oxidization, and a number of scratches and dings overall. An area of heavy wear/scuffing is present on the right side of the frame, possibly from the removal of a crest or other marking. The grips are very good, with some smoothing of the checkering and minor dings. Mechanically very good.
