Manufactured in 1920 according to page 115 of Nigel Brown's "British Gunmakers Volume One: London". Built with blued steel chopperlump barrels featuring a single brass bead sight on the smooth solid rib which is marked with the Alexander Henry & Co. address and a flourish of scroll, engraved bands at the breech, 1998 dated London reproofs on the flats, choke constrictions of .013/.025 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are mated to a nicely engraved sidelock action which displays Purdey style bouquet & scroll engraving with "ALEXr HENRY & Co." on either lockplate and niter blue action screws. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE". The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, blank gold inscription oval, and a checkered bare butt. Includes a non-matching wood and canvas takedown case, glass oiler, and cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.

Very fine as refurbished, retaining 99% blue finish, smooth coin grey on the action, faded markings on the barrel rib, light handling evidence, and sharp recut checkering on the revarnished wood. The case is good. Mechanically excellent.
