Manufactured between 1930 and 1934 according to Nigel Brown on page 179 of "British Gunmakers Volume Two: Birmingham, Scotland, and the Regions". Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single brass bead sight on the matted solid rib, Sleeved marked on the flats along with 1979 and 1986 dated Birmingham reproofs, choke constrictions of .021/.035 inches, and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished boxlock action which displays floral scroll engraving surrounding "T. STENSBY & Co." banners on either side and featuring double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, blank silver inscription oval, and a Kick-Eez recoil pad. Includes a wood and leather takedown case and a pair of snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 7/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 8 lbs. 7 oz.

Very fine as refurbished, retaining 99% blue and coin finishes, purple hue on the triggerguard, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the replacement wood. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
