The revolver has a New York engraving consisting mostly of floral scrollwork on a punch dot background along with line and dot patterns. The revolver has the rare and desirable short barrel (standard length was 3 1/2 inches) with the correct one-line S&W marking on the left side. The matching assembly number appears on the grip frame, barrel, and cylinder. The period leather bound French cut case contains an oiler and a sealed box of U.S. Cartridge Co. .32 caliber cartridges.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as New York engraved, retaining 70% original nickel plating with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The engraving is crisp. The grips are excellent with limited handling marks and highly attractive fiery colors. The case is fine. Mechanically excellent.
