Manufactured in 1946. Fitted with ramped, hooded, beaded blade front an elevation adjustable rear sights. The barrel is marked with the model and caliber on the left side with the Winchester address on the right. "WP" proofs are stamped on the barrel and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right receiver ring. The floorplate is marked "-SUPER GRADE-". Mounted in a multipoint checkered walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, hard rubber grip cap, special order left handed cheekpiece, and a red rubber recoil pad. This rifle is pictured on page 242 and 243 of "The Rifleman's Rifle" by Roger C. Rule and noted on page 244 as a special order carbine that is part of the author's collection.
