Manufactured in 1947. The barrel is fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked with the Winchester address and model and caliber markings. "WP" proofs are stamped on the left of the chamber and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and checkered steel buttplate.
