Manufactured in 1938. The barrel is fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sights. The barrel is marked with the model and caliber markings on the left, and the Winchester address on the right. "WP" proofs are stamped on the left of the chamber and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with some light handling marks, some dings and scratches, and some light pitting/spotting near the rear sight. The stock is also very fine with dings and scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
