This ornate bronze urn displays detailed French pattern wheat motif embellishments surrounding the body, with two bowing stag heads flanking on either side underneath the handles. The included cover matches the wheat motif pattern, with a bronze resting base for the urn itself. With "Bayre" signed in the underside, possibly for Alfred Bayre (1839-1882), a 19th century French sculptor who was well regarded for his meticulously detailed bronzes of the Belle Époque.
