Description:

Manufactured on contract for the German military, this excellent pre-World War I DWM Model 1908 Military Luger was manufactured without a stock lug or hold-open device, and managed to avoid being retrofit for the latter during its service life. Fixed sights, with "1912" date marked chamber and the DWM monogram on the front toggle. Three "Crown/Gothic letter" military proofs are present on the right side of the barrel extension, with Imperial eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breech block, and traditional "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the lower safety position and extractor. Matching visible serial numbers on the pistol, including the inside of both grip panels, besides the non-matching nickel plated aluminum bodied magazine numbered "7059/a/+" on the walnut base.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish with some light muzzle and edge wear, and 75% straw colors on the small components. Grips are very fine, with an absent section visible at the top edge of the left panel, and some light handling marks with otherwise defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
