Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two-line Sauer address and caliber marking on the left side of the slide, "PATENT" on the right, a "eagle/N" military type proof on the right side of the frame, slide and muzzle, and two "eagle/37" proof marks on the left side of the triggerguard. Fitted with a set of checkered grip panels, with the "SuS" logo on the left panel. Included with the pistol is a 1940 dated Genschow holster with faint black ink Sauer markings on the interior, extra magazine, manual, and a copy of a provenance letter. The letter states the pistol was a U.S. G.I. bring-back from World War II, reportedly acquired in a wartime gun swap and retained by the G.I. as their personal nightstand gun for decades after the war.

Extremely fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, a patch of dark oxidization/pitting on the right side of the slide, and light handling marks. The grips are excellent, with minor dings, oversized screws, and minor tool marks on the right grip screw. The holster is fine , with some cracking and scuffing. The cocking lever intermittently fails to cock the hammer, the de-cock function operates properly, otherwise mechanically functions fine.
