Manufactured in 1936 under contract with the German Luftwaffe (air force), this example is one of an estimated total of 2,900 P.08 pistols produced that year in the 4400-7500 serial number range as found on page 260 of "Third Reich Lugers" by Jan C. Still. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, "1937" chamber date, C-2 type "H(anchor)K/KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" marking on the front toggle link, and three Luftwaffe "eagle" proofs on the right of the extension. Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, extension, and frame, with matching "50" partials on the takedown lever, trigger, side plate, toggle links, and breech block. The number "F1-802" electro penciled on multiple components. Fitted with a pair of correct unmarked checkered grips and nickel finished magazine with aluminum base renumbered to match. Includes and extra magazine with hardwood base numbered to another pistol.

Very fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish and 60% straw colors with limited light holster pattern edge wear, thinning on the extension and grip frame, minor spotting, and light handling marks. Grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
