Receiver manufactured in 1946 and upgraded in 1994 by esteemed custom rifle makers Griffin & Howe. The barrel and action retain all of their Winchester factory markings and have had a custom front sight hood and iconic Griffin & Howe side scope mount added. "WP" proof marks are on the barrel and action. The action is mounted in a nicely figured, multipoint checkered walnut forend with horn forend and grip cap, protruding initial oval/palm swell, large shadowline Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and blued steel Neidner buttplate. Includes a November 16, 1994, dated invoice for the restocking of this rifle.

Excellent overall as Griffin & Howe upgraded, retaining 99% plus blue finish with some minor handling evidence. Stock is very fine with age cracks in the forend cap, a few minor dings and scratches, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
