Manufactured in 1938 (receiver). It is chambered in 250-3000 Savage, a caliber Winchester introduced in 1937 to its line of Model 70s before discontinuing the caliber in 1949. Hooded ramp front sight, no provisions for a rear sight and Lyman receiver sight (stock inletted). Left side of the barrel has the Winchester legend with the right side having the two line address. The receiver is tapped for scope mounting at the front and has a cloverleaf tang. Polished bolt numbered to gun, pre-war safety and sling swivels. The nicely figured pistol grip stock features checkering and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally custom upgraded to current configuration/refurbished/restored. The carbine retains nearly all of the blue finish showing the slightest handling marks. The Winchester oval proofs are both restamped. The stock is very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
