Description:

This is an exceptional example of a scarce all original commercial Model 60 Reising semi-automatic carbine. These commercial models are fairly scarce as only 3,248 were produced, in total right after WWII. The top of the receiver has the model/caliber/address/patent marking. The receiver has a small sliding safety marked with "SAFE" and "SA" for semi-automatic. The top of the barrel has a single "P" proof next to the letter "H". They have an adjustable rear sight (elevation only) with a dovetailed front sight blade. Fitted with a nice walnut stock with small, shallow finger grooves on the sides of the forend, stamped, sheet metal trigger guard and stamped flat sheet metal buttplate. With one spare 20 round magazine, a tan WWII style canvas sling, and manual.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus overall with 99% of the light gray/green parkerized finish with just some minor edge and high spot wear with some browning on the trigger guard overall. The wood is also excellent with the only imperfections being a couple of long pressure marks of drag lines on the left side below the receiver area and some minor scratches on the right side below the rear of the action. Mechanically excellent. The magazines also retain 99% of the same light gray/green parkerized finish and the sling is in like new condition. An exceptional example of a Reising semi-automatic carbine.
