Description:

Approximately 5,300 m/41 sniper rifles were converted from standard Model 1896 infantry rifles for use in Swedish military service during World War II, with all of them subsequently updated to the m/41B configuration in 1955 with Ajack scopes, numbered mounting rails with peened screws, and the standard iron rear sights changed to the dial-adjustable m/55 sight. These snipers saw active use into the beginning of the 1990s. This example has a "1915" dated receiver, Ajack 4X90 scope marked "Nr.3264/1942B" on the left of the dial, with matching serial numbers "226275" marked on both the scope base and scope mounting rail, and mixed serial numbers visible on the arsenal installed bolt and various components. Includes a green painted metal scope case numbered "345324" on the lid, brown leather sling and leather scope lens caps.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 95% plus arsenal refurbished blue finish. Arsenal refinished stock is fine with some light handling marks and defined edges. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine with 90% original blue finish and crisp/clear optics. Scope case is very good with 70% green painted finish.
