Manufactured late in World War II, this pistol was subsequently custom engraved and has a gold plated slide, frame, barrel and triggerguard with niter blue small parts, and shows high quality leafy scroll engraving on most of the surface. "Eagle/N" proofs are present on the slide and muzzle, with matching external serial numbers and the standard commercial markings on the slide. Fitted with a checkered black plastic Walther wraparound grip and two flat base magazines, both of which have matching engraving on the baseplate and are numbered "426402K/1" and "426402K/2". Included with the pistol is a blue postwar leatherette Walther case, with red felt inner lining and spaces cut for the pistol and a magazine with an extended base (not included).

Very fine, 98% plus re-plated gold finish, with minor edge wear and handling marks. The niter blue components are also very fine, with a few areas of brown/copper patina, and an indentation in the right side of the hammer. Grip is fine, with scuffs and light warping. The postwar case shows minor wear and staining. Mechanically excellent.
