Manufactured from 1927 to 1941, with this early production example correctly absent patent date markings on the sideplate. The Astra Model 900 has a slightly different lock work, but very closely resembles the Mauser C96 Broomhandle pistol in overall appearance and basic operation, and was a popular item both in Europe and further abroad, most famously China. Blade front and 1,000-yard tangent rear sights, with a large ring hammer, Spanish proofs on the right side of the barrel, chamber and frame, and the early type one-line Astra pistol nomenclature on the side plate. These pistols were factory rust blue finished after proofing. Fitted with early type grooved walnut grips and a lanyard ring.

Very fine, retains 85% plus original blue finish with some light edge wear and some scattered small patches of light surface corrosion. Grips are also very fine with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
