Built with blued steel chopperlump barrels with a single nickel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, "Armi Famars" marked on left tube, scroll engraving at the breech, import mark under the forend, 1975 dated Italian proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished sidelock action which displays near full coverage tight scroll engraving surrounding "FAMARS/GARDONE V.T." on the underside before extending to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The engraving is signed on the triggerplate "BELLERI INC" for a member of the Belleri family of craftsman, likely Ferdinando Belleri who became a Master Craftsman for Beretta. The gun features bushed firing pins, a right hand rolled triggerguard, double trigger (front articulated), and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, an Anson button release, and a gold FAMARS inscription shield on the under along with a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points and a checkered bare butt. Includes a wood and leather takedown case with factory markings.
