Manufactured in 1964. The barrel is fitted with hooded beaded blade front and folding leaf rear sights and engraved with light floral scroll coming off and importer mark on the underside ahead of the stock. The trigger guard and magazine floor plate are floral scroll engraved with cape buffalo and lion game scenes. The floorplate is signed "L. Cortis" and the trigger guard bears the initials "LV". The receiver is also floral scroll engraved with elephant and Rhino game scenes signed "VANDERSMISSENG" on both sides. Fitted with a multipoint checkered walnut stock with contrasting forend tip and grip cap, and factory red rubber recoil pad.

Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish and 99% plus refinished French grey finishes with some handling marks concentrated on the barrel, a couple light spots of oil staining, and crisp engraving. The bright finish bolt shows specks of surface rust. Wood is very fine with scattered dings and scratches and crisp stock checkering. The forearm sling eye is absent. Mechanically excellent.
