Manufactured in 1948. Fitted with ramped, hooded, beaded blade front and rear sight dovetail filler block. The left side of the barrel is marked with the Winchester address, model, and caliber. "WP" proofs are marked on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right of the receiver ring and topped off with a Lyman Model 48 peep sight. The aluminum floorplate is marked "- SUPER GRADE-". Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling loops, hard rubber grip cap, cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as upgraded to current configuration, retaining 97% plus refinished blue finish with limited handling marks. Stock is very fine with some handling marks, dings and scratches, some varnish wear at the nosecap, and softened checkering. Mechanically excellent.
