Manufactured in 1946. The barrel is fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sights. The barrel is marked with the Winchester address, model, and caliber markings on the left. "WP" proofs are stamped on the left of the chamber (triple stamped) and receiver. The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. The floorplate is marked "-SUPER GRADE-" Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling loops hard rubber grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as upgraded, retaining 99% plus refinished blue finish on the barreled action with a few light handling marks mostly in the form of high edge wear. Triggerguard assembly retains 98% original blue. Wood is very fine with a few minor dings and scratches, some forend cap separation, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
