Description:

These revolvers are even more rare than their Registered Magnum model counterparts with only about 1,400 manufactured compared to about 5,400 Registered Magnums. Production of Registered Magnums was stopped because it was deemed to costly to manufacture the revolvers, which at the time sold for $60. This example was manufactured in 1940 and fitted with serrated round blade front sight on the non-standard length 4 inch barrel and adjustable rear sight. Matching serial numbers are on the barrel, cylinder, and butt with the right grip numbered to another revolver. The grip frame has a factory October 19175 return date (10 75) as well as factory refinish mark. Provenance: The Jon M. Maxwell Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus S&W refinished blue finish with limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Don't miss the opportunity to add this rare Non-Registered Magnum to your Smith & Wesson collection!
