Manufactured in 1899, the included factory letter lists this rifle in Winchester Rimfire when received in the warehouse on September 5, 1899 and shipped on September 9, 1899 with 9 other Model 1890s on order number 37536. Fitted with beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sight. The octagon barrel is stamped with the first style inscription with the desirable "22 W.R.F." caliber marking. The receiver and trigger group have the desirable casehardened finish and is marked "WINCHESTER/-MODEL 1890-" on the upper tang with the serial number on the lower tang. Mounted with a 12 groove forend and lightly figured straight grip buttstock with crescent buttplate.
