Manufactured in 1915, with standard Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper left flat of the barrel has the two-line address and patent information as well as the caliber marking at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model, trademark, and patent information, and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a blade front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some mild edge/high spot wear and some scattered speckling of brown patina on the receiver. The wood is also very fine with a few scattered minor dings and a couple short hairline stress lines near the tail of the upper tang. Mechanically excellent.
